Selecting the Best Violin Lessons

By Morgan Bryan

There are two different types of violin lessons. The first are live lessons presented to an individual student or to a class of students. Using this method, the student will receive individual attention from the instructor. The down side of this approach is that there is normally a charge for each lesson. The amount charged is directly related to the class size and the professional reputation of the presenter.

The second alternative is to use a computer to download a set of videos which include audio. Most material offered in this manner include an entire set of individual lessons for one price. While the pricing varies from offering to offering, it is usually less expensive than private lessons for the entire lesson schedule. An advantage of the download method is that you can search out highly qualified presenters.

With the download system, you can select quality violinists who offer an entire series of individual lessons for less than $30.00 for the series. This price is very affordable.

A well prepared series of lessons teaches a student to be able to play the music of a number of different styles. These styles include classical, jazz, country, bluegrass and modern. The lesson set will also contain practice material for each style and for learning the scales. The videos will show you the proper finger positions on the strings and the proper use of the bow.

Think how exciting it will be to play the music that your relatives and like the most in the style they like the best.
